I have some of the same problems as you regarding commercial programs, but this isn't true. 1995 Fritz (WCCC). Played in 1999 WCCC as well as all intervening WMCCC's. 1995 MChess. He didn't play in 1996 but he had a problem with Indonesia, and this is perfectly fine IMHO. He played in 1998 WMCCC. Was he at the 1999 WCCC? I think so but I could be wrong. 1996 Shredder. Played in 1998 WMCCC (no 1997 tournament) and 1999 WCCC. 1998 Junior. Played in 1999 WCCC. So you are right in one case in the past five years, and there is a reasonable excuse for that. Getting all of anything into these tournaments is hard. bruce
