Either it is easy to make money or it is not. Which? Suppose there was a great honey pot from which commercial chess programmers could feast, beyond the wildest dreams of avarice. Or suppose there is a limited supply of honey, with many commercial chess programmers trying to get a taste. In which case would you expect the programmers to be at each others throats, and in which case would you expect them to band together to maintain the golden egg layer (please forgive the metaphor mix) ?
