I recently bought Chess Mentor and I really like it. I'm a beginner, so I would like a little bit more of a structured approach (ie, openings, middle game, tactics, strategy, etc), but Mentor doesn't work that way. It does have a loose structure to the lessons it presents, though. The computer-based approach is great, since you're learning with a "live" chess board. If you have specific questions, I'll try to answer them if I can. The best advice I can give, though, is to download the demo--that'll give you a good idea of how it works.
