This is from the helpfile.
My guess is that most winboard engines will suit EPD2Diag.
Look at Frank Quisinsky's page or at Gambitsoft for a lot of them.

o Generic
Beside the above described chess programs/engines, there are a
lot of other useful programs, which can be used for analysing
a given position.
Parameters:
Generic location
A fileselector box will be opened by clicking on the
textfield, to select the directory and name of the program
or batch file (.bat).
Change to generic location
Change from the actual directory to the generic
directory before starting.
Generic command line
Command line to use with this program/batch.
At least the parameter $F (position file name) must be part
of this command line.
Use EPD file / Use PGN file
Use an EPD file (EPD2DIAG.EPD) or a PGN file (EPD2DIAG.PGN)
as subsitute for $F. If a PGN file is used, the program
must support the FEN tag.
The given program/batch will be called from the current directory
with the full pathname, given in the textfield "Generic location",
by using the command line parameters given in the textfield
"Generic command line" ($F subsituted by either EPD2DIAG.EPD or
EPD2DIAG.PGN). If the option "Change to generic location" is
selected, EPD2diag first change into the generic location's
directory and than call the named program/batch like above
described, but with the program name only (no programm pathname
used in this case).
