Generally, I am familiar with the integration between Winboard and crafty.
My winboard version is 4.0.3. I just downloaded the wcrafty-17.0 executable and
changed the "FCP" in winboard.ini to reflect the new crafty engine. With older
crafty's winboard worked flawlessly, but not with this 17.0 version.
When I start winboard I get the message:
"Fatal error, startup failure on 'wcrafty-17.0': The system cannot find the
specified file." ??? The executable of CRAFTY is already in the winboard
directory. Strangely, if instead I run gnuchess then winboard does recognize
gnuchess....
