I hear this a lot from Mac users, but I'm not sure I believe it. A few years
ago, I worked with a guy who had to reboot his Mac 2 or 3 times a day because of
crashes, but he still swore up and down that it was far superior to any flavor
of Windows. I've been wary of Mac users ever since... :-)

I have limited experience with Macs so I'm not in a great position to debate,
but can you explain why MacOS is better than Windows NT?

What are the major technical differences between the two OSes? I don't care
much about which is prettier or easier for a beginner to use - I'm more
interested in performance and reliability.

I have heard, for example, that MacOS still does not support preemptive
multitasking. Is this true?

In 5+ years of running Windows NT, I've found it to be an *extremely* stable
platform. I run Win98 too - certainly not as stable, but it seems acceptable
for a casual user, and it's wonderful for gaming. :-)

I'm not trying to start a religous war, I'm just honestly curious.
