What this interesting experiment would provide is a stronger measure of a program's positional analysis because those programs that forged stronger positions would prevail while those which rely purely on tactical prowess would fail. However, it would take a lot of work to run it. On the other hand, at shallow ply depths, the moves would happen quickly.
