Subject: a CHEATER speaks out

I am what is referred to as a cheater. I play on one of the top chess
sites. I have several points that I would like to share with you.

First, let me say this, I have a pentium lll 550, with 128 megs of ram.
With this system I constantly get beat, in 5/5 or 10/10 or 10/15, the time does
not matter. Does this mean that there are a lot of humans able to draw and or
beat this system. Oh by the way I have Fritz 5.32 and CM6000. There are some
guys that I have played, that easily beat these two programs. Why is it when I
see tournament results posted that include GM or IM they sometimes finish the
tournament rated below some top commercial programs, yet my system constantly
gets beat. When i go on this site to play, it seems there are alot of computers.
Dont reply and ask me about my settings because I have tried alot of different
ones. Also, everything a person has to go through to achieve a master level of
play, the study, the books, the years of games----do so many of these types of
people go to these sites and just sit for hours night after night and play. I
dont think so. All these guys say that they are masters and are not using a
program. I dont think so. There are several reasons why I play at this site; my
fascination with processor speed, the thrill of competition, and just the fact
that sometime, maybe, I might sit at a table with a master, and watch him beat
my system while I move the chess pieces for my computer. I have always been
fascinated with chess but I am not a strong player. Also, there are some guys
playing at speeds that when their opponents piece is moved they instantly move
without any time for thought between moves. If this is a human playing, then
this is an extreme sense of play that I personaly have not been around. These
games are mostly 1/0. Well I have said enough, I will be back.
          thanks.
