At 1/0 you simply have your piece already held over the target square. Example you open 1) d4 and then hold you pawn over c4 and regardless of the opponents move play it. This is also done throughout the game with you anticipating the opponents move and having your move ready to drop. I myself play 1/0 and can easily make 60 moves against an opponent of equal strength. Against weaker opponents more against stronger less. You also said you used chessmaster and Fritz how is that possible at 1/0?. Thanks.
