You are absolutely right, Tina. It is ridiculous to say that one chessprogram is better than the other because it is 5 points better. On the other hand it is impossible to say where the limit is, where you can say it. A program can, strictly mathematically, be better even if it is 500 eloratings below another and they have played with each other 5000 matches. As another guy in this group said. It is not impossible to get highest winning ticket a milliard time on a row on a lottery. And I say that if you try to buy tickets enough times it is improbable that you not get the highest winning ticket milliard times on a row, even in the biggest lottery in the world. I can understand this mathematically, but it is hard for me to believe it. Maybe Good has given us our way to think mathematically as a joke. Georg
