Some German computer chess aficionados meet each year in a different
pub in the state of Thüringen (hence the name), Germany to play
a 3-4 days tournament with the most recent chess programs but usually on
different hardware. Why? Because it is a lot of fun, but they have no sponsors,
so they bring their own hardware.
As these people have a lot of experience with chess software I believe their
comments a lot, even if the hardware is not the same. They take that
into their account when they write something!
We had a discussion about this tournament here last year, so I won`t comment
any further! Bert
