My guess is either: 1) the databases are marked as read-only. When you copy them to the hard drive, you must remove this attribute. In "My Computer" (on your Windows desktop) open the folder to which you copied the files. Hold down CTRL and single-click each filename to highlight them. Single-RIGHT-click on any of them to get a menu. Select "Properties". UNcheck "Read only".
