I have Fritz 5.32. I like its engine but find the interface & operating instructions difficult. I still don't understand a lot of it. I'm considering getting Fritz 6 and welcome any advice. I have no interest in ChessBase, databases, openings, nor endgames, only in a chess engine's ability to calculate the best move(s) in a position. I do not use it as a chess playing opponent nor a tutor. Thus I use Fritz in "Watch" mode almost exclusively, not "Play" mode. Here are some relevant questions I would appreciate a response to: (1) Are the operating instructions suitable for rank beginners with the Fritz interface (i.e. user friendly) ? (2) Are Fritz 5.32 and other engines included with Fritz 6 on the new CD? (3) What is noticably improved in Fritz 6 compared to 5.32? (4) Any bugs? Thanks! --JRM worth a look, if you do much surfing... http://www.alladvantage.com/go.asp?refid=FTZ387
