I would rank it amoung some of my best purchases. However, you may have to do some tweaking with your machine to get it to work properly. I had to get updated drivers from Chessbase so that mine would work properly. The advantage of the DGT is that it is designed to work with Fritz - which supports many winboard engines. This means you have good options to handicap the machine's play (i.e. stick in a weaker engine). You also get the voice announcement of moves which is absolutely essential with this sort of board. The DGT will also work with many other windows programs if you use some additional shareware with it. You can also check out the Shahcom board at www.ruschess.com. I don't know too much about it, but it is something to look into. Bob P.
