This Kind of software is used in Tennis, Golf, Cricket, if fact most atheltic
sports, even NBA & NFL.

For example you can take a golf swing, and get the program to analyse the swing
to see if any improvement is some aspect of the golf swing is required.

They have this in swimming also. They just take video footage of the movements,
and then give them to a computer to analyse.

Air Force fighter pilots have been using this type of technology to record their
plane flying tactics and to improve upon their dog fighting skills.

It would only be a matter of time before someone bothers to put the effort into
creating some type of AI for Chess.
