Just read your post, which was especially interesting to me since lately I've been thinking of adding checks to my qsearch routine. To me it seems like such an obvious improvement that I'm surprised that strong programs like Crafty don't include it. Is there a downside to adding checks that I'm missing or something? Cheers, Mike.
