I ran both positions for 100sec using my program LambChop on a pentium 133. In the first position, the program changed it mind a number of times - switching between Qxh4 and Qh6. It wasn't happy about either possibility. In the end, it chose Qh6 with a score of about -2.5 and a search depth of 8 ply I think. In the second position, Qxh6 was found after 84seconds with a plus 0.44 score (search depth 8) cheers, Peter
