I have had similar problem once and solution was to go to to Properties or My
Computer -> Performance -> Graphics and reduce the Hardware acceleration. I have
it set to Basic. Windows 95. But I have seen the same problem and the same
solution for it in w98 as well. No more freezing or crashes.
