I have noticed that the personalities in Chessmaster seem very unrealistic.
I know that a computer can never play like humans, but Chessmaster's
personalities bear little real resemblances to any of the humans that I have
seen. They seem to play much stronger in the endgame than most humans. Even
the weaker personalities seem above average in the endgame. While I know that
the endgame is my primary chess weakness, I usually can pull it out because
nearly everyone that I have played makes the most and most costly mistakes
during the final portion of the game. Am I just completely lousy at the
endgame, or does someone agree that the personalites, especially the weaker
ones, are curiously strong (I use this word in its broadest sense) during the
endgame (compared with the average human chessplayer)? Sorry that I wasted your
time, if you don't think they are!
