I have been surprised by Chessmaster's endgame ability. It has some basic endgame knowledge, somehow, maybe some elementary endgame tablebases. For example it apparently knows when a Rook Pawn can Queen versus a Bishop. I don't know which of the personalities uses this knowledge, except Chessmaster itself does. Happy Thanksgiving. --JRM On November 25, 1999 at 09:05:24, Ramón Martínez wrote: >On November 25, 1999 at 08:48:03, Jonathan Oliver wrote: > >> I have noticed that the personalities in Chessmaster seem very unrealistic. >> I know that a computer can never play like humans, but Chessmaster's >>personalities bear little real resemblances to any of the humans that I have >>seen.
