It depends what you define as advanced openings of today. Can you be more
specific with your definition? Give some examples. IMHO, the Grob Opening is
sound, and can be classified as an Offbeat Opening. It may not be played by
super GM, but it does not mean it is unsound. I understand that super GM makes a
fashion statement in the openings, however, one should have a voice of its own
and play openings which are suitable to one's understanding, and not copycat
another super GM opening repertoire.
