In order to make my tablebases (not a large collection at all) work with the Dos version of Comet, I needed to add "set tb_path=c:\egtb" to autoexec and I also needed to rename all of the tablebases as in Comet's txt file: rename kpkp.nbb.emd kpkpnbb.emd So now the tablebases seem to be recognized by Dos Comet, I assume that the Winboard Comet sees them, and Crafty can also see them. Are there programs that won't be able to use the renamed tablebases? or is that a universal thing that they will all recognize a TB renamed that way? Are most programs using Eugene's code for egtb's and will that generally cover me on the renamed TBs? Thanks, Pete
