I thought the latest observations of distant supernovae seemed to indicate that
gravity is decreasing? IE there seems to be an unknown factor that accelerates
expansion of the observable universe. You may as well include God into
everything that is unknown or even unknowable, that doesn't sound unscientific
to me personally.
But I believe there was evidence such as the fairly straightforward observations
of circling speeds of stars that indicate that least 90% of "matter" in our
galaxy is not visible. All astronomical observations are of light phenomena so
if basic conjectures about light phenomena change everything changes of course.
And there a with great certainty many possible particles that we cannot create
or even observe, for instance present in cosmic rays, (I don't know if you would
call that astronomical observations), with presentday technology.

Sorry I don't quite understand what you meant there with that edge. Something to
do with (my) speed? :) But I think physical theories that don't require
modification if you look deeper into the details do not exist. I suppose this
has to remain a hypothesis...

There must be forums meant for these discussions somewhere. Would they be
discussing computer-chess every now and then?

Best wishes, Eelco
