Right, and an even bigger one in your direction and in the
direction of SSDF.

Some weird results at the SSDF list:

  Fritz 5.32 K6-2 450 - Nimzo 7.32 K6-2 450 18-19

Now fritz at 3 times slower hardware:
  Fritz 5.32 P200MMX - Nimzo 7.32 K6-2 450 18-22

So it was 3-0 actually and added to the previous result or something?

Let's consider the nature of these programs. Both not very smart,
"learning from the search" as the authors can explain so nice,
so in short if you outsearch one of those programs they are big piece
of cakes to kill, as they don't feel any need for getting a positional
sound position, or compensation in form of any kind, as
search depth doesn't learn them that as well as the other opponent which
outsearches them by 1.5 ply or so.

So in short 3 times faster hardware is gonna kick their butt BIGTIME.

Also nimzo 7.32 has a much newer book, so little chance that book
or learning saves 5.32 somehow. Secondly, where fritz6 looks more like nimzo,
nimzo obviously is a lot more aggressive tuned than fritz 5.32. Combined
with a better book and faster hardware, that's usual very deadly.

Being 100 points higher rated than 5.32, Nimzo should
score roughly 15% + 50% = 65%

At about 40 games: 0.65 x 40 = 26 points at least.

Near to everyone likes to see nimzo 7.32 win from fritz 5.32,
including chessbase i suppose as they sell nimzo 7.32.

No doubt they practiced at home a lot between 7.32 and 5.32,
so 26-14 would be a *minimal* score i would expect. It's a real
bound of what is gonna happen *at least*.

Testing thousands games at home in order to play well at 40 games
is not gonna show other results than the expected result.

Now let's calculate a rude rating change based upon this:
4 points extra would mean Nimzo would be at least rated ABOVE
fritz 5.32 K6-450

Getting rated above tiger would be less appreciatable because
that would remove the feeling that everyone can get ranked #1.

Greetings,
Vincent
