But there are also those that like CA, and with this offering, they have addressed one of the main concerns of their users. Variety is generally a good thing. Plus, there is a bit more to analyzing a game than having a program do a blunder check at X sec/move. so there is still room for separate database and playing programs. I suspect money was not the issue here. If you talk about bucks, Chessbase probably has more than most of the other software houses. I think it was probably idealogy more than other factors. It could also be that Christophe knows something about the new CA 5 that others do not. Bob P.
