Thanks for the info. For others that are interested:

It looks similar to the approach used by some companies in which a flppy is
physically damaged at a specific sector. Software then checks the floppy to make
sure the damage is present. It looks like this kind of protection also means
that Vritual CDROM-type software will no longer work.

I've got no problem with F6 using it, especially if you don't need to refuel.
The question I have is whether the Millenium stuff requires refueling or not.
