This is a bit low, but not all that low. Remember that this is not the inflated
ratings system of ICC, where the same computer would probably be 2600+. It
seems that the FICS ratings have gone down recently - even the highest rated
computers I see on are only around 2300, with a few exceptions around 2500.
Anyway, the machine is, IIRC, a PPro 200, but it is also being used for other
things. Sometimes this can make it play much worse than it should.

Another thing which helps keep this rating so low is that it allows anyone to
match it at any time control. It seems to have a bunch of low-rated players
playing it all the time; when it wins, it gets no points, but when it loses or
draws, it loses points. This is the same problem for everyone else, but most
have restricting formulas, with a favorite term being (assesswin>0), which says
that I won't play you if I get 0 points for winning. If I get even one point
for winning, but -50 for losing, I still play.
