Except for the already mentioned fact that this is a FICS rating:
ChessPartner 4.2, Chesstiger 12.0e
Pentium 233 , 128 MB , Windows 2000 RC2
It's rating is over 2300 now, mainly because it has been playing
lots of games vs other comps (in which it scores well).
My point: Chesstiger may be strong in comp-comp, its knowledge,
certainly for human play, is really quite limited.

Erm...wrong definition of old ;)
CM3000 has a nice adjustable 3d board, which is very playable.
