Note that a "search" can never damage a database because no writing is involved (only reading). It's more likely you had a crash (not necessarily with Rebel) and damage was done to so-called "open files". It's our fate since we are using Windows. In most cases you can repair a damaged database using the DBUTIL 2.5 function "19.. Clean a database". DBUTIL 2.5 is in a sub-directory of Rebel Century.
