( OK, he was only IM then. ) He was reading the nespaper while playing me in a serious game. Suddenly I found a tactical chance, and got a winning position! He stopped reading the newspaper and consentrated very hard to rescue the game, but it was to late, and I won in 40 moves. I have never seen him with a newspaper while playing chess later! Torstein
