Gentlemen: These are great posts. May I suggest "Genius in Chess" by Jonathan Levitt? He posits Levitt's equation: ELO ~ (10xIQ)+1000. The ~ means that the ELO of the formula is the upper bound of what can be achieved by an intensely devoted player after many years of study. So an IQ of 137 goes to an ELO of 2370. Why haven't you studied more? Maybe the same reason I haven't? Cheers, Walter
