Some sacrifices work especially against lesser ranked computers. Crafty seems to be the one computer that sees thru the sacrifices and usually wins or at least draws. Talmoves plays against a friend of mine who is a USCF master and he has never won a game against it. He calls it the silicon sacrifice machine. As my friend say Playing against a human the sacrifices usually work Talmoves also will sacrifice and blunder very bad. But that is a known. I would recommend Talmoves because I have beaten HIarcs 7.32, Fritz 5.32 and Shredder, Nimzo and Crafty. I have also lost too. It has a nice interface which allows you to play on ICC or FICS very easily. I would recommend CSTAL. If you purchase CSTAL make sure you go to the website and download the latest 2.03 upgrade. If I can find some games that it sacrificed in I will send them to you. Dave
