Take a look at the CCC resource center, links. You will find links to essays on how chess programs work and also code (Crafty is a very easy to understand program and is the strongest of the source avaliable). It may take some time, so have fun and ask questions here. Both Junior and Chessmaster are strong programs. Nodes is only one measure of performance. Best Regards, Chris Carson
