The following message is posted on behalf of Somac Inc.:

Somac Incorporated is recruiting chess Computer Programmers and Graphic
Designers to help develop commercial software for Omega Chess, a new board
game which is taking the chess world by storm. Our principal focus is on
acquiring rights to an existing chess playing engine that can be modified to
play OmegaChess, and to develop a graphical interface with considerable sizzle.
In addition we seek to develop and incorporate the following features:

   * Support and service setup for internet play and web-based library of
 games and openings

   * A variety of clock features including blitz, lightning, tournament
 fisher clock and hourglass

   * Interactive teaching mode for teaching standard chess and Omega
 Chess

   * Standardized Omega Chess file format for establishing a database and
 file viewer

   * Support for a variety of file formats for chess and Omega Chess
 diagrams

   * Multi language support

In addition to modifiying existing software, we seek candidates that
are self- motivated yet capable of working in a team
 environment over the Internet.

Omega Chess has demonstated its viability as a marketable product for
 the following reasons.

   - Omega Chess is sold in a package with Traditional Chess and at a
price point competitive with standard chess sets

   - Its rules are consistent with the FIDE rules of standard chess and
 thus easily learned.

   - It creates new tactical and strategic challenges while maintaining
 the balance Standard Chess.

   - It addresses the growing need for something new in chess world.

   - It has been proven by GMs to improve your chess playing skills and
ratings through increased pattern recognition and
 tactical awareness.

   - It provides renewed originality and inventiveness, something that
has been lost for many in regular chess.

   - It has been embraced and endorsed by some of the world's top players
and chess organizations -- as well as by
 recreational players of all ages.

   - It is a game that is easy to learn. Eight-year-olds have learned the
new piece movements in one game.

   - It lets players keep and utilize years of acquired chess skills.

   - Kids love to play Omegachess (the growing market).

   - It provides a refreshing break from over-booked lines and offers new
 strategic and tactical possibilities.

If you know of a chess programmer or group of programmers that have a
chess engine with a Graphical Interface, not
connected to a commercial chess company that meets most or all of the
following Features, that is interested in selling then
