Subject: What chess projects we have in the States?

Hello!

Please, say in general, what old or new chess projects we have in the States.

I have the impression that my knowlege about States is pretty limited. I bought
only one good chess game done in the States. I know more about chess games done
in Holland, Germany and France. America make me think only about Crafty and Deep
Blue. Crafty as the most prominent, opened project where you can even see its
author in person. Deep Blue as distant, melt from gold solid idol. Good spot for
recreation and esthetics but something that was not invented for the practical
use. Please, make my picture as much complet and correct as you can.

If somewhere beyond the States you know some lonely place where we have some
interesting chess development, please mention it as well. All kind of surpises
are possible. I remember that until now I was able to buy only one book printed
in Australia by Barry Kauler. It explain how to write programs on Assembler for
Windows. This miracle appearance is unique and was never repeated in any part of
the world.

Leonid.
