Tom, I get slightly better results on my Mac G3 than you posted. Speed: 41387 nps Computer: G3/266 mhz, OS 8.6, No Extensions Compiler: Metrowerks 5.2, Full Optimization (Level 4) Note: the time routine you used is ?unix?. I simply used the intrinsic MacOS timing function (which is in tics or 60th of a second) and made a minor modification to main(). These are the results.
