Of course there are killer lines in the opening book of mchess8. It was me critisizing this in public and towards the mchess-team. but i did not come to your conclusion that without those lines mchess is a weak engine. IMO it is different. the lines are IN the book and despite these lines mchess8 is also a strong chess-engine. My argumentation in the past was: there is no need to let mchess play those killer lines because the engine is strong enough. it only damages the name it has due to those lines.
