Thank you very much Pierre, You know--this would be a good way to punish criminals who also play chess. I am sure that Joan Fluvia Poyatos felt incarcerated while being flogged by the machines. I was surprised to see Chessmaster 3000 and 4000 do so well on fast computers. I own both of these and they give me a run for my money on a "slow" PII 333Mhz. Hmm? Death by computer chess simuls. It could happen to an older chess player. Perhaps tournament directors should have all human participants sign a waiver to release the computers and their operaters from all liability. Tim Frohlick
