I've had similar experiences with CM, Fritz, and Hiarcs.  But I will say this
for all of them:  they never gloat about it, often have something gracious to
say afterwards (the ChessBase programs), are willing to go over the game and
point out what I missed, and will even play me again. Quite an improvement over
the average human of comparable strength.
