No, it's "Celeron." Check your facts.

You can probably get a good one for around $15. The cheap ones cost $3-$8, and
they don't always do a very good job.

No idea. You'd have to check Pricewatch and call the vendors. But from your
questions about Windows and 3dfx compatibility, I doubt you'd be very pleased
with an Alpha. You'd have to use unix and you can all but kiss your games
goodbye.
