Subject: Auto232?

I am hoping someone out there can point me in the direction where I might be
able to get some more info about Auto232.

You see, I am working on a robotic arm to play chess. I am just beginning to
play with the idea of move generation when I stumbled on to Auto232. All I know
about it is that it is a standard for two chess computers to play over a serial
line.

My thinking is maybe I could exchange my robot for the other computer, where my
robot feeds the first computer the humand moves and then implements the moves
the first computer generates through the arm for the human player to see.

To the extent of my knowledge this seems plausible, but like I said I know next
to nothing about auto232.

Could someone out there help me out?

Thanks
