I did have problems (not with Chess-progs though) with >ATI cards. >What exactly does happen? Does it crash? Or display errors? That's the problem. It has done all of the following(listed by frequency) 1. Invalid Page fault(program performed Illegal Operations) 2. Fritz freezes in the middle of a move. 3. The Blue Screen of death(computer shuts down completely) For a while I did have some success with turning off virtual memory(I have 192meg of RAM). I was able to play several games with Fritz but after a couple of weeks the problems started all over again. The major difference was I just would be booted back to Windows. When I first got the computer I got the Blue Screen so many times that I eventually was forced to reformat the drive and load Windows again(4 times). Funny though Winboard runs fairly well. Occasionally I'll get the message Illegal Operations but I just save the game and restart Winboard and reload the game and start playing again. P.S. The only time Fritz runs without blowing up is if I run the Fritzmark test. As you know Fritz just calculates and does not move the pieces that is why I suspect the ATI Rage Pro Graphics card.
