What kinds of compatibility problems does the K7 have? I don't have one and I don't know anybody who does, but I've read many reviews of the K7 and every single one says the K7 is totally stable. As for the K6-2, I know for a fact that it runs many chess programs significantly faster than an equivalently clocked Intel processor. I had some compatibility problems with my K6-2, but I'm pretty sure they were all motherboard-related. (Which is annoying, because I had an Asus P5A, which is supposed to be the best Super 7 motherboard available.) -Tom On December 13, 1999 at 21:24:02, Aloisio Ponti Lopes wrote: >AMD K6-3 will be discontinued, replaced by K6-2+ (which will have less cache!). >AMD K7 (Athlon) has many compatibility problems now, and stability is the main >problem (perhaps you are a "general gamer" too, uh? - so you'll probably want to >get your 3D graphics card running 100%, but... what so if it crashes your system >_very _often? ).
