A camera sends too much data and the chance of getting caught is too high.

I prefer the pen and the hidden ear plug. From 1 to 8 pushes on the end of the
pen, a 3 second pause, from 1 to 8 pushes, a 3 second pause, from 1 to 8 pushes,
a 3 second pause, from 1 to 8 pushes. The pushes would be faint (i.e. no click
associated with them). The pen sends the 12 bits just entered, the accomplice
sends back the move to ensure it is correct. A single push for yes, three pushes
for no. Look out James Bond. We have better gadgets than you!
