The engine in the EIDOS' Fritz6demo has the engine Fritz6Li.eng. I used that
with my original Fritz6 in an engine-engine test blitz and spent 10 minutes
looking at almost identical evaluations by both engines. Guess what? A full game
was played and Fritz6Light won.
My point is : The Fritz6 engine now appears to be free as a demo (maybe some
hash limitation, I don't know.....). All Fritz5.32, Hiarcs7.32, Junior5,
Nimzo7.32, Nimzo99, and Fritz6 users should download this free engine and start
testing and share your observation.
An update to my physical observation (to my earlier post on English version vs
German version):
Fritz 6 Light : size is 270 Kb, date of engine is 15.12.99
German Fritz6.eng : size is 264KB, date of engine is 23.11.99
English Fritz6.eng : size is 285KB, date of engine is 10.11.99
