I have found it myself, but I suspect others could have found it as well.

I'm not claiming paternity on it. :)

BTW I did not express myself clearly. I wanted to say that it brings half of
what PVS brings over simple alpha beta.

So it is a minor improvement, but when you have enough of these small
improvements, you can be twice as fast as a simple program.
