If you are really interested in building a fast chess machine, why not try to
partner with Hsu.  The millions of dollars of R&D are already completed.  The
chip is already debugged.  The software has already been written.

Trying to redo this from scratch using FPGA's seems err...
* Difficult.
* Expensive.
* Time consuming.

What is your estimated cost for the entire project?
What is your estimated time span for the entire project?

I'll be glad if you succeed, of course.  But I won't hold my breath until it
happens.
