If you are really interested in building a fast chess machine, why not try to partner with Hsu. The millions of dollars of R&D are already completed. The chip is already debugged. The software has already been written. Trying to redo this from scratch using FPGA's seems err... * Difficult. * Expensive. * Time consuming. What is your estimated cost for the entire project? What is your estimated time span for the entire project? I'll be glad if you succeed, of course. But I won't hold my breath until it happens. ;-)
