Yes, the stats are a little misleading because the game may be 'on the way through' that profile. In fact, the games averaged only 7 moves in the nominated profile - compared to theoretical depths now going up to 243 (KRNKNN). I've read somewhere that there are very few instances of serious players trying to win KBBKN at any great depth. I don't have ChessBase's databases so can't do the 5-man search. Those with a small 'force difference' will be of most interest to you as presumably a search engine can win KQRNK etc. There were some duplicates in Fatbase and my stats were after these were removed. The existence of EG tables means that computers will now 'home in' on endgame-wins identified on their search engine's radar. Guy
