Subject: Chess Notation someone explain this so i set these up in the future

I was just wondering what this means, how am i supposed to figure out where
which piece goes?
maybe i am just not looking at this objectively but wouldn't it be easier to
just say:
example
Black pawns a2  e7, K e4, r a3   etc???
