Hi ! I have run my Summer Beer Tournament. I call it like that because I normally watch games between engines in the evening time after my job, and a couple of cans of good beer are the only chance to survive this summer in Melbourne ! It was 4 round tournament with 30 min.time control for each engine. The results were quite funny and mysteriuos. Here they are : Hiarcs-6 26 / 36 (!!!) Fritz -6 24,5 Hiarcs-7.32 24,5 Fritz - 5.32 20,5 Junior - 5 20,5 Crafty -16.18 16 Nimzo - 99 15,5 Fritz - 5 13,5 Junior - 4.6 11,5 Comet B10 7,5 So, when I played with and tested Fritz-6 and Junior-5, Hiarcs-7.32 and Nimzo-99, my old buddy Hiarcs-6 didn't waste its time at the background , and it considerablely improved its brute strength ! Who could it happen ?! It wasn't a quick one round blitz tournament. Could anybody explain this phenomen ? Did it have something to do with my beer ?! Best wishes
